Our Process
Before we pick up a single brush, we move furniture to the center of the room or out entirely, and cover everything with drop cloths. Outlet covers, switch plates, and hardware are removed. We tape off trim, windows, and ceilings carefully — protecting your floors and belongings is just as important as the paint itself.
Good paint starts with good prep. We inspect every wall for cracks, nail holes, dents, and imperfections. These are filled with spackling compound, sanded smooth, and spot-primed so the final coat goes on evenly. Any loose or peeling paint is scraped and feathered before we move on.
Not every job needs a full prime coat, but when it does — going from dark to light, painting over stains, or working on new drywall — we apply a quality primer first. Skipping this step leads to uneven color and poor adhesion. We never cut corners here.
We cut in along ceilings, trim, and corners with a brush for clean, sharp lines, then roll the field of the wall in a consistent "W" pattern for even coverage. We work in sections and maintain a wet edge throughout to eliminate lap marks and roller lines.
One coat is rarely enough for a professional result. After the first coat dries fully, we assess coverage and apply a second coat where needed. This is what separates a lasting finish from one that looks tired in a year.
Once the paint is dry, we remove all tape, replace hardware and outlet covers, and move furniture back. We do a final walkthrough with you to make sure everything looks exactly right. We don't consider the job done until you're satisfied.
