Our Process
Every exterior job starts with a thorough walk-around of your home or building. We look for peeling paint, wood rot, caulk failures, mildew, and any surface issues that need to be addressed before painting. You get a clear, honest estimate — no hidden fees, no surprises.
A clean surface is essential for paint adhesion. We power wash the entire exterior to remove dirt, mildew, chalking, and loose paint. We use the right pressure for each surface type — too much pressure on wood siding can cause damage, so we adjust accordingly.
Any remaining loose or peeling paint is hand-scraped and sanded smooth. This step is tedious but critical — paint applied over peeling surfaces will fail quickly. We take the time to do it right so your new paint job lasts.
We fill cracks, holes, and gaps with the appropriate filler or caulk. Window and door frames, trim joints, and siding seams are re-caulked where needed to keep moisture out. Any rotted wood is repaired or replaced before painting begins.
Bare wood, repaired spots, and stained areas all get a coat of primer before the finish paint goes on. Priming these areas ensures even color and dramatically improves how long the paint holds up against Northeast Ohio's weather.
We apply two full coats of premium exterior paint — brushing and rolling for the best penetration and coverage. We work methodically from top to bottom, keeping a wet edge to avoid lap marks. Trim, doors, and accent areas get careful brush work for clean, sharp lines.
Once the paint is fully dry, we remove all masking, clean up the job site, and do a final walkthrough with you. We want you to be completely satisfied before we pack up. If anything needs a touch-up, we take care of it on the spot.
